Being an Australian I would have to say that my Backpacking and Rucksacking experiences would have to be one of the best things I have ever done in my life. Something I would highly recommend any young adventurer to tackle!
In 1996 I decided to leave the Australian Army to travel to Europe on a working holiday, my base would be Amsterdam, as I had met and fell I love with a Dutch girl. So Amsterdam was were my backpacking adventure would start.
I backpacked and rucksacked Europe for around one year in between doing occasional typical backpacker jobs, such as working in an Irish Pub, painting Dutch brothels in the famous Amsterdam Red Light District, and then I worked as a chef in a Dutch / English restaurant pub.
I did this for one year and then two years later I returned and did the same again, I backpacked to many European countries both Eastern Europe and Western Europe.
